FileCaster™ can be equipped with the latest and best in breed cameras from Panasonic, Sony, JVC, or Hitachi.   When combining the power of a camera like the Panasonic HPX-3500 on SMTE fiber, or a camera like the HPX-2000 on Telecast multi-mode tactical fiber, you begin to unleash the power of FileCaster™, and that power comes with distances measured in kilometers, not just meters. For the smaller budget productions, FileCaster™ is well suited for cameras like the Panasonic HPX-300 or the JVC 250U.

CCS with Multi-core or Fiber

Using the TV Pro Gear compact Cambox™ and Camera Control System. (CSS) on multi-core, high quality affordable HD production is achieved. With up to 100 meter of uncompressed HD, this is the perfect solution for many productions. The Cambox™ interfaces with some of the most popular cameras in the market.

For the most demanding in today’s remote productions, FileCaster™ can be equipped with end-to-end fiber based studio cameras or for more flexibility, field cameras can be adapted with the very powerful Telecast system.  Fiber based solutions can give a productions over 10 kilometers of cable length between the cameras and FileCaster™.

Switchers

Leading companies like Panasonic, For-A, Broadcast Pix, GVG, and Ross, offer a number of excellent switchers. FileCaster™ is designed around an individual’s needs and when it comes to switching there is no shortage of great gear with phenomenal power and features.  Today’s small footprint switchers come with built in up-down convert for HD/SD productions.  Many of the switchers have built in image processors so you can have more than 16 images split to a single monitor or multiple monitors.  3D, effects, transitions, keyers, still store, converters, and device controls are all standard on these new switchers.  Given the enormous power of today’s switchers, picking the right switcher becomes a matter of personal choice and/or particular feature set your productions demand.

FileCaster™ is designed to be a tapeless environment. The on-board DDR’s allows you to record at any bit rate and this creates a seamless workflow with Final Cut Pro or Avid.

For tape based output we have many recording options.  Some of the options include DVC Pro100, HD-Cam, XD-CAM, and HDV.

For live high quality HD recording and slow motion playback to air, FileCaster™ is equipped with a multi channel DDR from Doremi.  Under DNF control for easy operator use, triggering multiple events is easy. All of your prerecorded or live to DDR events are just a click away.

Test Equipment

Today’s demanding production projects require professional results and allow no room for error. FileCaster™ comes with test and measurement tools, the most critical video engineers have come to expect. Both the Flypak™ and the FileCaster™ are equipped with the latest from Harris or Leader. To maintain compactness, rasterizing waveforms and vector scopes are used.  In addition, you find 2 channels of up-down cross convert from AJA FS1 so you can bring anything in and anything out.  Tri-level sync, GPS time-of-day, full complement of HD DA’s, Patch and router are all part of the FileCaster™.

Audio

A critical component of any professional video production is superb audio.  The Flypak™ is equipped with a Yamaha 01V96 VCM digital mixing console.  This console delivers the performance and reliability of Yamaha's acclaimed digital live sound and production consoles in a remarkably compact design that is perfect for professional applications where space is limited or maximum portability is required. It may be small but it can handle up to 40 inputs, and can be cascaded if more are required.

To complement the FileCaster™, up to 6 channels of wireless microphones are included.  Providing central audio I/O for IFB and phone bridge, along with multi channel com for the truck and cameras, is a four channel Clear Com Matrix.
