To meet the demand for high quality remote production equipment and services, WaterMark HD needed to create the ultimate mobile studio solution for remote production, events, television, and corporate shows. According to WaterMark HD President, Shaun Halladay, "We wanted the unit to be big enough to hold all the essential gear (with patchable audio and video panels to connect additional gear if needed), yet small enough to be pushed into any room."
 Most importantly, WaterMark HD also wanted fast setup times (less than an hour) and to be able to guarantee compatibility. Also, with high definition setting the bar, the unit had to be HD.
WaterMark HD enlisted the help of the engineering team at TV Pro Gear in Los Angeles to custom build the portable unit. The result was one of the most complete portable studios on the market: The FlypakTM. It includes up to 6 HD-SDI (True SDI output) cameras, DDR (direct to Disk) recording, and a full audio suite, including 4 wireless mics and the recording of 24 separate audio channels which can then be used in ProTools.
WaterMark HD leases the new generation FlypakTM with or without technicians. This fully portable studio comes standard with 3 HD-SDI cameras (additional camera packages are available - up to a total of 6), virtual VTR (additional VTRs are patched), 12 channel audio mixer (24 track Pro-Tools friendly hard disk recording), 4 wireless microphones (more can be patched), 8 channel audio snake for hardwired mics, MacBook Pro for CG and presentation graphics, Mac-based system for Final Cut Pro editing, DVD recorder, plus video & audio test generators.
The unit is pre-configured, already wired. For set up it pushes into any venue with 32" doors, a motorized lift raises the plasma display, plug in a single cable for each camera (multi-core cable carries all signals and power to and from each camera), plug in wireless antennas for the microphones (if needed), and you are ready to go.
