JVC ProHD Demo Day at TV Pro Gear

JVC ProHD Demo Day at TV Pro Gear

TV Pro Gear holds an open-house to demonstrate JVC's exciting Wireless HD System, the Libre.

Glendale, CA – January 28, 2008 – TV Pro Gear, Inc., a leading systems integration and mobile solutions provider for the broadcast, production, and post to hold a JVC ProHD products demo day on February 13, 2008.

TV Pro Gear and JVC Pro division will demonstrate the new Libre wireless HD solution from JVC. The daylong event will also include demonstration of JVC’s GY-HD200 series cameras in full studio configuration. Attendees will get a chance to use the wireless system and see its capabilities. Experts from JVC and TV Pro Gear will be on hand to answer questions.

About Libre - The LIBRE coupled with the JVC GY-HD200 or GY-HD250 camera now offers a Full HD microwave equipped camera system that, for the first time, brings affordable HD microwave capabilities to the ENG/EFP market.

The ProHD LIBRE system provides native 60P HD capture, recording and transmission through a compact, on board camera-back transmitter developed for JVC by Broadcast Microwave Services, Inc. (BMS). By migrating to a microwave transmission system, ENG crews have the mobility and freedom to report live without the typical problems associated with cable in the field. The ability to get to a remote location, set up and transmit within minutes, without laying down cumbersome cables or performing a previous days site survey makes the LIBRE System coupled together with the GY-HD200 / 250 camera an affordable solution for your broadcast customers requirements.

The LIBRE System features a JVC ProHD 200 series camera with built-in Super Encoder that generates a high quality MPEG-2 stream. The BMS HD Mini-Coder camera-back transmitter accepts the camera’s compressed signal at 20Mbps via the IEEE 1394 connection and modulates it at 64-QAM, then transmits COFDM with an 8MHz bandwidth in the 2GHz channel. The entire transmitter is the size of a small outboard battery and uses the same mounting hardware. The complete wireless package offers excellent weight distribution both for shoulder use and for hand-held operation. In a typical remote ENG configuration, the BMS receiver would feed the encoded ASI signal directly to the truck’s microwave for relay back to the station. No additional encoding or delay is required.

Now you are able to perform live remote broadcasts with the knowledge and freedom to go anywhere without your camera tethered to a news van.
