Jewish Life Television (JLTV) is America’s number one 24/7 Jewish Television Channel. Early in 2008, they selected TV Pro Gear to help move and upgrade their facility as they continued to grow.
The upgrade involved moving, designing, engineering, installing, testing and training for a Master Control Room, Studio Room, Studio Control Room and Two Editing Suites. A daunting challenge that our integration experts were more than ready to handle.
The Studio Control Room at the new facility houses JLTV’s portable production system. This system was integrated by TV Pro Gear and comprised mostly of equipment already owned by JLTV. The portable system allows JLTV to take the “show on the road”. While in the Control Room, the portable system hooks directly into the wall via an I/O Access Panel. This allows for easy plug-in for video sources, audio sources, robotic camera control and line cut. The line cut is wired directly into the Master Control Room for live events.
The Master Control Room features an Automated Playout System, 16×2 Master Control Switcher, Patch Bays, Machine Decks, Monitoring Equipment and Power Conditioning. In addition to designing, engineering, and wiring the Master Control Room, TV Pro Gear provided an additional 12TB SAN Fibre Storage to the Playout System with room for future expansion. Using JLTV’s existing equipment, TV Pro Gear was able to finish off JLTV’s new facility with two editing suites. One is strictly a Final Cut Pro System while the second utilized both Final Cut Pro and Avid Media 1000.

TV Pro Gear went to great pains to ensure a painless move for JLTV, providing a detailed plan and handling all the installation and upgrade duties with careful precision.
